Homecoming Game Recap

The Northeast Raiders football team was victorious on Homecoming Night - beating Monticello by a score of 35-14.The Raiders had a solid team effort - Curt Whisby rushed for 3 touchdowns - carrying the ball for 105 yards. Calvinaugh Mitchell rushed for 135 yards on 13 carries and 1 touchdown. Mitchell's other 2 TDs were called back due to penalties. Other notable items include:
- Darius Jackson also rushed for 1 touchdown
- Mike Brown graded out at 95% on the offensive line
- Dionte Towles played well in his first start as QB in a varsity game
- Mike Bryant had 4 tackles, 1 Qb sack, and 1 tackle for loss on quarterback pressure
- Levi Toomer led the way with 6 tackles, 1 assist, 1 quarterback sack, and an interception |
