Raiderettes Run to Victory

Congratulations to the Northeast Raiderettes Cross Country team! On yesterday, Northeast hosted a Cross Country meet for 8 teams, running a course of 3.1 miles. The Northeast girls' team finished in 1st place, scoring a total of 60 points. Sophomore, TaNeshia West led the girls placing 3rd with a time of 23.59, followed by Jerryshia Williams-7th Albertina Dean-14th, Cortney Dixon-16th, and ReNya Curtis-20th. Maria Bond placed 27th to break the tie between Northeast and Westside High. The Raiderettes have won four of their five cross country meets.
The Northeast boys' team scored a total of 187 pts. Dion Jolley led the boys placing 26th with a time of 22.02 followed by Jerry Butler-35th, Jacobi Smith-36th, Demarkis Willis -37th and Darrion Greene-53rd.
The next meet will be Tuesday, October 6th, at 4:15, at Mary Persons High School in Forsyth. GA. Please come out and support our teams. |
